Breaking: Raiders Reportedly Signing Former Panthers Pass Rusher

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Las Vegas Raiders are likely to add outside linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson to their practice squad. The 25-year-old spent the offseason with the Carolina Panthers, who had signed him to a one-year deal earlier this spring.

Chaisson, however, didn’t make it into the regular season with Carolina, as he was released a week ago. Head coach Dave Canales addressed his departure the following day.

“I thought he was carving out a solid role for himself, especially on special teams,” Canales explained last Wednesday. “We were looking for someone who could be a dynamic game-changer in the pass rush. We brought in some new players to both our roster and practice squad to see if they can provide the spark we need.”

Heading into Week 1, the Panthers had four outside linebackers on their active roster: Jadeveon Clowney, DJ Johnson, Eku Leota, and Jamie Sheriff. They are also reportedly planning to sign former first-round pick Charles Harris, who last played for the Detroit Lions.
