BREAKING: Texas High-Star Defensive End Commits To Arkansas football

Defensive end Keiundre Johnson made his commitment to Arkansas on Sunday after his official visit to Fayetteville.

Johnson expressed his enthusiasm about the visit, calling it beyond his expectations and stating that he greatly enjoyed the experience. Standing at 6-3 and weighing 245 pounds, Johnson hails from Terrell, Texas, and had received offers from several prominent programs including Texas, Texas A&M, SMU, USC, Oregon, Ole Miss, LSU, Florida State, Nebraska, and others.

While Johnson had previously visited SMU in May and had plans to visit Texas A&M later in the month, his bond with defensive line coach Deke Adams and defensive quality control assistant Kelvin Green played a significant role in his decision to choose Arkansas. Hosted by freshman defensive lineman Charleston Collins, he felt a strong connection with the team during his visit.

Impressed by the people in Fayetteville, Johnson looks forward to playing under Coach Adams, particularly praising his utilization of defensive ends on the edge and the defensive scheme overall. He highlighted Adams as a great coach who is easy to connect with.

Despite facing an injury early in his junior season that required him to wear a cast on his left wrist, Johnson managed to record impressive stats with 63 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, 2 pass deflections, and a safety in just 10 games.

Johnson, known for his speed with a reported time of 22.6 seconds in the 200 meters as a freshman, is considered a consensus 3-star prospect and becomes the 12th commitment for Arkansas in the 2025 class.
