A key storyline this season centers on Nolan Gorman, who has taken over as the starting third baseman following the departure of Nolan Arenado. For Gorman, the focus is clear — reduce strikeouts and produce more consistently, or risk becoming a trade candidate by season’s end.
According to Mark Powell of FanSided, Gorman is among several players who could be moved, with the Detroit Tigers identified as a potential landing spot. Powell suggested Gorman still has time to prove himself, especially with the Cardinals evaluating which players fit into their long-term plans under Chaim Bloom. However, if the team decides to move on, several clubs — including Detroit — could be in the market for help at third base.
Gorman Could Be a Fit in Detroit
Gorman has shown encouraging signs this spring, displaying improved power and a more confident approach at the plate. He’s expressed belief in the adjustments he’s made, which have started to translate into better results.
