Stars Sign Forward Christian Fitzgerald to Entry-Level Deal
The Dallas Stars have added to their pipeline, signing forward Christian Fitzgerald to a one-year entry-level contract set to begin in the 2026–27 season. He will join the Texas Stars of the AHL for the remainder of the current year.
Fitzgerald, 23, is coming off a strong senior campaign at the University of Wisconsin, where he recorded a career-best 31 points (16 goals, 15 assists) in 39 games. He finished third on the team in total points while leading the Badgers in power-play goals with nine. He also ranked second in goals and shots, and tied for fifth in assists.
Before transferring to Wisconsin, Fitzgerald spent his freshman season at Minnesota State, where he helped the team capture a CCHA championship. That year, he posted 29 points (16 goals, 13 assists) in 38 games and finished with a plus-9 rating. Over his NCAA career, he appeared in 151 games and totaled 101 points (45 goals, 56 assists).
Prior to college, the Coquitlam, British Columbia native played in both the BCHL and USHL from 2019 to 2022. During that span, he tallied 58 points in 93 games and earned the BCHL’s Brett Hull Trophy as the league’s top scorer in the 2020–21 season after posting 33 points.
