Devils Podcast Sitdown Series: Recruiting Trail, a Breakdown Of The New Tight End Room

TEMPE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) — Charlie Ragle isn’t accustomed to losing football games in Arizona. Known for his success as an Arizona high school coach, Ragle returned to the Valley last year to take on the roles of assistant head coach and special teams coordinator at Arizona State. Despite a challenging 2023 season for the Sun Devils, Ragle believes the experience and lessons from that difficult year will be invaluable for the program’s future.

As the team looks ahead to 2024, Ragle will manage a special teams unit that will need to replace all of its specialists. Given the demanding Big 12 schedule, their performance will be critical.

In this episode, Charlie and I talk about how the coaching staff dealt with the tough season and how they’ve grown, the development of the program’s culture, a preview of the special teams units and fall camp competitions, and more.
