FLEETWOOD NEWS: HUGE BOOST As Club Secures Key Appointment On Director Of Football Gigs.

Lee Johnson ready for next job after Hibs and Fleetwood sackings and reveals offers from left field

The individual from England is eager to get back to work and confesses that coaching is like an addictive drug to them.

Lee Johnson is prepared for his next managerial role and discloses that he has received offers for director of football positions.

The Englishman was dismissed by Hibs in August the previous year following a tough start to the season and swiftly transitioned to his next opportunity at Fleetwood. However, this endeavor also did not unfold as expected, leading to his departure after just 111 days. While acknowledging his errors and feeling the effects of his time at Easter Road and Highbury, Lee Johnson remains undeterred in his pursuit of returning to management.

He clarifies that he hasn’t been actively applying for numerous positions, except for one that didn’t materialize, but expresses his readiness to seize his next opportunity. Lee Johnson has entertained the idea of taking on a role as a director of football and indicates that such a position could be of interest to him in the future.

The ex-Hearts and Kilmarnock midfielder shared with the Daily Mail: “I am eager to make a comeback, without a doubt. I have something to prove. I firmly believe in my capabilities and the value I can bring. Yet, football is fickle, focusing on who’s in demand and who’s not. I hope individuals consider the broader decade of my career rather than just the past year.

“This time around, I haven’t been actively pursuing my next role. I applied for one position – that’s the extent of it, and unfortunately, I didn’t secure it! There are various prospects and directions available to me now, beyond just managerial roles.

“I have engaged in advisory tasks for a family exploring the purchase of a club, offering some squad analysis. Previously, I have been presented with opportunities for director of football positions, which genuinely attract me due to the strategic aspects of the sport.

“Nevertheless, coaching is undeniably my passion – it’s what motivates me every morning. The players, the pitch, the victories, the team spirit… it’s like a drug, indescribable. Some may ask, ‘Why do you continue?’ But achieving victories and constructing something special, that feeling is incomparable, and you yearn for it.”
