Panthers Call Up Alscher and Jansson from AHL
The Florida Panthers have promoted defensemen Marek Alscher and Ludvig Jansson from their AHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers.
Alscher, 22, has recorded three goals and eight assists in 51 games this season. The Kladno, Czech Republic native is in his second year with Charlotte, where he has totaled 21 points (five goals, 16 assists) across 104 career games. Standing 6-foot-3 and 196 pounds, he has yet to make his NHL debut since being selected in the third round (93rd overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft.
Jansson, also 22, is in his first AHL season and has tallied three goals and seven assists in 29 games. The Stockholm, Sweden native has been productive recently, collecting four points over his last five games, including a goal in Charlotte’s April 4 win over the Toronto Marlies. He was drafted in the fourth round (125th overall) in 2022 and, like Alscher, is still awaiting his first NHL appearance.
