Former Mizzou RB Sensation Looking To Pave Roster Move In 2024 Based On Recent Performance

Tyler Badie has scored in back-to-back preseason games for the Denver Broncos

Former University of Missouri running back Tyler Badie continues to shine during the preseason, although his chances have been limited. After being drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in 2022, he was waived before playing a game and later signed by the Denver Broncos.

At 24 years old, Badie has participated in just one regular-season game, which was in 2022 when he played for the Broncos in Week 18. In that game, he scored a 24-yard touchdown, but was waived after the season. He later rejoined the Broncos on a practice squad contract and has primarily played in the preseason since.

During the 2024 preseason, Badie has stood out, scoring in both games. On Sunday night, he caught a screen pass and ran it seven yards for a touchdown, just a week after scoring an 11-yard touchdown in the Broncos’ first preseason game against the Colts.

Unfortunately for the Missouri native, he has had difficulty getting consistent playing time. Although Badie showcases his full potential whenever he’s given a chance, he hasn’t yet secured regular NFL minutes and has struggled to maintain his presence in the preseason.

As the 2024 season approaches, Badie is likely to find himself on the Denver Broncos practice squad. However, at 24, he still has plenty to offer, and there’s a chance another NFL team could provide him with an opportunity he hasn’t found in Denver.

With the season nearing, expect roster updates regarding Badie in the coming weeks. While his future remains uncertain, he has consistently demonstrated his talent when given the chance, and that’s what he’ll be pursuing moving forward.
