Good News For Navy: Notre Dame Football Will be Missing a Key Player Once More in Their Game Against the Midshipmen.

The Notre Dame football team is preparing for a major game, but they will be missing one of their key players. Or, at the very least, it appears probable that they will be lacking his presence.

The Irish are facing off against the Navy Midshipmen and it appears that this game may be closely contested. If it comes down to a couple of kicks, Notre Dame might be in trouble.

Notre Dame football coach Marcus Freeman recently stated that there is uncertainty surrounding kicker Mitch Jeter’s availability to play against Navy.

Jeter hurt his right hip after a kickoff in the first half of the Stanford game and has not played since. In the last two games, Junior Zac Yoakam has taken over for Jeter on both extra points and field goals. Yoakam, who successfully kicked two extra points in a dominating victory against Purdue, has not missed any of his nine PAT attempts in the last two games.

Jeter successfully made five out of seven field goal attempts for Notre Dame football season before getting injured, with both of his misses getting blocked. He made all 20 extra points and had an average kickoff distance of 63.3 yards, resulting in 18 touchbacks out of 28 kicks.

Although the data indicates that the Irish may not necessarily suffer if Jeter is absent, a significant play can result in either a victory or a defeat. The Notre Dame football team is eager to add an experienced player they intentionally targeted through the portal. It seems unlikely that their wish will be fulfilled.
