Good News!!!Top Significant NC State Basketball Recruit Makes Cuts, Confirms Decision Date

The NC State basketball recruiters earned a place among Kaden Magwood’s finalists.

Kaden Magwood, a guard from Combine Academy in North Carolina and a target for NC State basketball since early July, has narrowed his recruitment to three finalists. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound four-star player plans to make his decision on November 11. His final options are NC State, Auburn, and Ole Miss.

Magwood, ranked No. 53 overall and No. 1 among North Carolina high school players in the 247Sports 2025 Composite, took an official visit to the Wolfpack during the last weekend of August. This was his first official visit of his senior year, and he has since visited both Auburn and Ole Miss.

Magwood shared his perspective on NC State’s eighth-year head coach Kevin Keatts and the Wolfpack, stating, “When you reach the Final Four, you definitely get noticed.” He noted that during his time with Coach Keatts, he realized how well-known he was everywhere they went. “The intensity of their practices and the way they play surprised me during my visit. Everything is conveniently located on campus, and the tunnels make getting around much easier.”

He added that his relationship with the coaching staff has continued to strengthen since his visit, mentioning, “I talk to the coaches almost every week, so things are looking good.”

While there are currently no Crystal Ball predictions for Magwood on 247Sports, insider discussions suggest that Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl and his team are the frontrunners for this talented guard.

In the meantime, NC State’s 2025 recruiting class already includes two early commitments: four-star forward Zymicah Wilkins from Christ School in North Carolina and three-star guard Ricardo Greer Jr. from Archbishop Alter High School in Ohio.
