HIGH-STAR Tight End Measuring 6-Foot-5 And 238 Pounds, Rejoins Auburn’s 2025 Class With Early July Commitment
Hollis Davidson III has re-committed to Auburn by announcing his commitment to Hugh Freeze and the Tigers on Thursday.

Davidson, having previously committed to Auburn in February, decided to rescind his commitment two months later due to increased interest from other programs. After taking official visits to Auburn, Florida, and Florida State, and gaining interest from LSU, Davidson narrowed down his choices to Auburn and Florida State. Ultimately, he chose to re-commit to Auburn on Thursday.
Davidson, who stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs 238 pounds, is ranked as the No. 31 tight end in the class of 2025 and the 52nd-ranked prospect from Georgia by 247Sports.
During his junior year at McIntosh High School, he caught 30 passes for 436 yards and three touchdowns, contributing to the team’s playoff run in 2023. Additionally, he also plays as a goalkeeper for the Chiefs’ soccer team.
With Davidson’s recommitment, Auburn’s 2025 class now includes two tight end commits, including fellow 3-star Ryan Ghea. Currently, the class ranks 12th in the nation with 15 commitments, according to 247Sports.
