Highly Conflicting Statement As Former Oregon State Beavers star says ‘now’s the time’ for the Dallas Cowboys

Brandin Cooks has had enough of the discussions.

The Dallas Cowboys were outmatched in their last two games against the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens, resembling a junior varsity team. Players, coaches, and management—including owner Jerry Jones—have all remarked on the issues plaguing the team, especially the defense.

Cooks, a wide receiver and former star at Oregon State, emphasized that it’s time to stop talking and start taking action.

“At the end of the day, we’ve played three games, and we can’t keep saying we need to fix things. Now’s the time to do it,” Cooks stated to reporters on Wednesday. “With a short week ahead of us, we have a great opportunity to go out there and play our style of football while addressing the things we’ve discussed.”

The Cowboys (1-2) will face the New York Giants (1-2) on Thursday night, providing a chance to “fix” their issues. The Cowboys have had a strong track record against the Giants, having won the last six matchups and 13 out of 14 overall. Last season, they outscored the Giants 89-17 in two games, including a dominant 40-0 victory in the 2023 season opener.

Cooks and the Cowboys are not dwelling on the past; instead, they are committed to ensuring that everyone is focused on the details for the upcoming game.

“Sticking to your responsibilities and being able to play quickly is essential,” Cooks said to reporters on Wednesday. “It’s crucial—you can’t just depend on what happens at the facility. What you do on your own time to prepare is vital in this game.”

Although the Cowboys are only entering their fourth game of the season, the pressure mounts daily for a team with Super Bowl goals. Losing to the Saints and Ravens was tough, but a defeat against the Giants would likely raise serious concerns in the front office. They need a victory to regain their momentum.

“We’ve got a tough challenge ahead,” Cooks noted. “I believe we’re ready for it. We’ve prepared well. We’ll find out on Thursday.”
