“Huge boost” As Key Player Lands Pen To Paper On a New Deal With Harriers Ahead Of The New 2024-25 Campaign.

ALEX Penny has put pen to paper on a new deal with Harriers ahead of the new 2024-25 campaign.

The Harriers’ beloved player has been part of the team for over four years, during which he has made over 100 starts for the Reds, scoring some unforgettable goals along the way.

Manager Phil Brown stated that securing the defender for the next two seasons was crucial, emphasizing, “The re-signing of Alex Penny was absolutely essential as far as I’m concerned. Alex spent time in the US, and there was a real chance we could have lost him, but those in charge worked diligently behind the scenes, using tools like Zoom calls.”

“I’m absolutely thrilled about that because I believe he’s one of the top players in the National League, let alone in the National League North. That’s crucial, that’s significant,” Brown added.

Chairman Richard Lane commented, “Phil Brown was insistent that Alex is a player he wants to keep, so we’re pleased to have supported him in attaining that objective and securing him for the long term despite considerable interest from other parties.”

“Penny’s contract, pending FA confirmation, extends his stay until the summer of 2026.”
