Accolades keep coming for a select few Boise State Broncos as the 2024 college football season approaches.
On Wednesday morning, College Football News announced their preseason All-America selections. Out of the Group of Five schools, only two players made the first team, and both are from Boise State.
Junior running back Ashton Jeanty was named to the first-team offense, while junior punter James Ferguson-Reynolds was selected as a first-team specialist.
Jeanty was the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year in 2023, leading the NCAA with an average of 159.67 yards from scrimmage per game. He also topped all NCAA running backs with 578 receiving yards. Recently, he was named the 2024 Mountain West Preseason Offensive Player of the Year and earned first-team All-American honors from College Football News last season.
Ferguson-Reynolds led the NCAA with a 49.7-yard punting average in 2023, the best in Boise State history. Earlier this offseason, he received preseason All-America honors from Phil Steele as a third-team selection.
Boise State will open their 2024 season against Georgia Southern on August 31 in Statesboro, Georgia.
