Huge Insights As LA Clippers Reveal Concerning Significant Update on Kawhi Leonard

Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard has not played in a preseason game

The NBA season is just a week away, but the Kawhi Leonard injury situation has already become a hot topic. Throughout training camp and the preseason, Clippers fans have been eager for news about Kawhi’s knee rehabilitation, but the limited updates so far haven’t been encouraging.

During last night’s matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, Clippers head coach Ty Lue announced that Kawhi Leonard will sit out Thursday’s preseason game against the Sacramento Kings. As a result, Leonard will not participate in any preseason games with the LA Clippers and has yet to practice with the team.

“Just keep focusing on rehab, making progress, and ticking off the milestones,” Ty Lue said regarding Kawhi Leonard’s plans for this week.

In an interview with Kawhi Leonard in Hawaii two weeks ago, the superstar expressed a desire to participate in some preseason games rather than starting the season unprepared. Given this, it appears that Kawhi isn’t even getting the practice time he would like.

What’s even more worrying is that when Clippers head coach Ty Lue was asked whether Kawhi would play in the regular season opener against the Phoenix Suns, Lue seemed uncertain.

Considering all the details, there doesn’t seem to be an immediate timeline for when Kawhi Leonard will return to play for the LA Clippers. He appeared to be preparing for the 2024 Summer Olympics, but then he was unexpectedly withdrawn, and there hasn’t been a clear update on the specifics of his injury since that time.
