RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and University of Richmond men’s basketball teams have announced their complete schedules for the 2024-2025 regular season.
One notable point from VCU’s schedule is that the Rams will not be hosting Pennsylvania State University this year, along with former Head Coach Mike Rhoades and former players Ace Baldwin, Jr. and Nick Kern, Jr. The Nittany Lions have a contractual obligation to play in Richmond as part of Rhoades’ buyout agreement with VCU.
Among the highlights of the Spiders’ schedule is their matchup against Auburn University, the reigning Southeastern Conference champion, who has participated in the NCAA Tournament for the past three seasons.
The Rams will compete in the Veterans Classic in Annapolis, Maryland, from November 21 to 24, while the Spiders will participate in the Gulf Coast Showcase in Fort Myers, Florida, from November 25 to 27.
The two teams will meet on Saturday, February 1, at the Siegel Center and again on Tuesday, February 25, at the Robins Center. The Atlantic 10 Tournament is scheduled for March 12 to March 16 at Capital One Arena in Washington.
