JUST IN: ASU Football Loses Commitment From 4-star WR Adrian Wilson.

Four-star wide receiver Adrian Wilson declared on Wednesday that he would be reconsidering his college choices after previously verbally committing to the Arizona State Sun Devils in April.

Whether by chance or not, ASU football coach Kenny Dillingham tweeted “It’s a fantastic day to be a Sun Devil” just moments before Wilson revealed his announcement on X.

Wilson expressed his deepest thanks for the chance to participate in the program. After thorough thought and contemplation, I have chosen to withdraw my commitment from Arizona State University. Deciding to re-open my recruitment was a difficult choice, given my admiration for the coaching staff and the program’s vision.

I think this decision is essential for my personal and athletic development, and I only want the best for the team and the future of ASU. I will forever hold dear the relationships I’ve formed and the moments I’ve encountered throughout this journey. Thank you for your comprehension.

247 Sports’ composite ranking lists the wideout, who is 6 feet tall and weighs 170 pounds, as the 40th-best wide receiver and the 276th-best player in the 2025 recruiting class.

He was the second most highly regarded member of the Sun Devils’ 2025 class, trailing only quarterback Cameron Dyer, who was ranked 137th nationally. Arizona State recruited Dyer to play as a receiver.

ASU’s 2025 recruiting class includes two wideouts committed from Centennial High School in Corona, Calif., and San Tan Charter in Gilbert, Ariz., who are rated as three-star prospects.

Wilson had promised to attend Oregon and TCU with words before ultimately deciding to enroll at Arizona State.
