Just in: Beavers Come Out On Top Over Oregon Ducks And Other Programs To Sign High-Star

West Linn (Ore.) offensive lineman  is staying in-state, announcing his commitment to Oregon State on Sunday afternoon.

WHAT JAKE NORMOYLE SAYS ABOUT OREGON STATE

“I selected Oregon State University because my visit was absolutely fantastic. The people I encountered here were incredibly authentic, and I have developed a strong rapport with the coaching staff. One aspect that really appeals to me is the charming college town atmosphere of Corvallis. Coach Kyle DeVan is a major factor in my decision.

His wealth of experience, coaching style, and genuine character create an environment where I believe I can thrive, achieve success, and continue to grow as a player. Regarding other schools in consideration, I received offers from all three Division I programs in Oregon: Oregon State, Portland State, and Oregon, where my father played for the Ducks.

However, the Beavers were the first to extend an offer and they made me a priority right from the start when Coach DeVan approached me. As a recruit, I am ranked as a three-star prospect according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings. Specifically, I am recognized as the 62nd best interior offensive lineman in the 2025 class by 247Sports and the third top recruit in Oregon.

On a national scale, I am ranked as the 96th best interior offensive lineman and the fourth player in Oregon for the class of 2025.Although I currently play tackle for West Linn, it is anticipated that I will transition to the interior offensive line for the Beavers. Despite my experience at tackle, I am expected to excel at guard or center. Ultimately, the plan is for me to become the center for the Beavers.”
