Latest News: Massive Boost As West Virginia Top Performer Set to Miss Cincinnati Contest

CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bearcats are expected to face West Virginia’s backup quarterback, Nicco Marchiol, this weekend, as WVU head coach Neal Brown announced on Monday that starting quarterback Garrett Greene is doubtful for the game.

Marchiol performed well in his appearance against Arizona last Saturday, leading the team to a 31-26 victory with 198 passing yards and two touchdowns, completing 81.8% of his throws, along with 39 rushing yards.

However, his overall performance this season has been somewhat average, with a QBR of 48.2 according to ESPN after throwing 38 passes.
