Ryan Cameron Appointed Public Address Announcer for Georgia Tech Football
THE FLATS – Ryan Cameron, an Emmy Award-winning personality, has been named the public address announcer for all Georgia Tech home football games in the 2024 season, according to the athletic department’s announcement.
Cameron, a distinguished radio host, voiceover artist, and entrepreneur, is celebrated in both the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame and the National Black Radio Hall of Fame. As a Georgia native, he made history as the first African American public address announcer for the Atlanta Hawks and currently holds the same position for the Atlanta Falcons. Additionally, he has recently been appointed as the official voice of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
With over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Cameron is a founding partner of the Threaded Agency, a global sports branding company. He also hosts the afternoon show on WAMJ MAJIC 107.5/97.5 and has produced and directed various programs for TV One. In 2002, he started the Ryan Cameron Foundation to support underserved youth in their transition to adulthood.
Fans can look forward to hearing Cameron’s voice at Bobby Dodd Stadium on August 31, when Georgia Tech takes on Georgia State at 8 p.m.
