Major Insights As Huskers Make Massive Top-12 For Offered Quarterback

Nebraska made the cut for a 2027 quarterback who will be visiting this weekend.

One of the top quarterbacks for the 2027 class in the Midwest listed Nebraska in his Top-12 choices on Thursday morning and will be visiting the school again this week.

Trae Taylor, a quarterback from Carmel Catholic (Ill.), announced a Top-12 that includes Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Ole Miss, NC State, Iowa, West Virginia, Illinois, and LSU.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound quarterback received an offer from Nebraska during his visit for the Huskers’ victory over Rutgers in October. He will be on the sidelines for Saturday’s game against Wisconsin.

Nebraska’s quarterback situation looks promising for future classes. The Huskers have had California quarterback TJ Lateef committed since May, and Buford (Ga.) quarterback Dayton Raiola is also committed for the 2026 class.

Additionally, Nebraska will be hosting 2027 quarterback Jameson Purcell from Maine South (Ill.) this weekend, who received an offer from the Huskers earlier this summer.
