“Massive News” As San Francisco Giants Offered Up Some Injury Updates To Bolster Depth

Tuesday BP: Injury updates

San Francisco Giants Injury Updates

The San Francisco Giants shared some injury news on Monday, right before securing a win against the Washington Nationals to even their record. As usual, the updates are a mix of good and not-so-good news.

On the bright side, the Giants announced that pitcher Tristan Beck will begin a rehab assignment with AAA Sacramento on Thursday. Beck, who was expected to be a key part of the Giants’ rotation this season, was sidelined early in Spring Training and underwent surgery in March to address an arm aneurysm. Although there were hopes he might return by June or July, those timelines passed without updates. This news is a positive development, as Beck could bring a valuable boost to the bullpen or even step in as a sixth starter if needed.

On a less positive note, first baseman Wilmer Flores is scheduled for a Tenex procedure to repair a damaged tendon. This procedure is expected to keep him out of action for an extended period.

Given the seriousness of the issue that put him on the injured list, adding Mark Canha becomes even more logical
