However, fans were thrilled as he made his return in Week 8 in Austin, Texas on Saturday. Before the live broadcast, Corso shared an emotional health update about a family member in a video posted by fellow host Kirk Herbstreit on X. “I’m wearing this pin to support brain cancer research. My granddaughter recently had a tumor removed from her brain,” Corso said, fighting back tears. “She’s doing okay now, but I wear this pin to raise awareness for brain cancer research.” Herbstreit responded, “Oh gosh, that’s wonderful that you’re supporting brain cancer research for her.”

Corso also expressed how much he has missed participating in the “College GameDay” shows over the past two weeks while focusing on his health and family matters. “I missed the Duck and Brutus,” Corso said. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I can’t believe I missed it.”
