Mizzou Lands Among Top 10 for Four-Star WR: The Buzz

Missouri football has been named one of the top 10 schools for 2027 wide receiver Quentin Burrell, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. The Tigers are joined on Burrell’s list by Notre Dame, Indiana, Vanderbilt, Arizona State, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma, Michigan and Nebraska.

The 6-foot-3, 175-pound prospect from Chicago is ranked as the No. 9 wide receiver in the 2027 class per 247Sports’ composite rankings. As a junior, he hauled in 67 receptions for 1,139 yards and 16 touchdowns, showcasing his big-play ability.

Head coach Eli Drinkwitz stopped by Mount Carmel High School in January to visit Burrell, emphasizing Missouri’s strong interest.

In other Mizzou news, forward Jevon Porter was once again ruled out in Friday night’s SEC availability report. He has yet to appear in conference play this season due to a leg injury.

Meanwhile, four-star safety Jordan Haskins announced he will make his college decision on March 6. The 2027 standout is choosing among Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Virginia Tech and Louisville.

At the SEC Championships, Missouri sophomore Luke Nebrich set a new school record in the men’s 50 freestyle on Day 5—breaking the previous mark, which he also held.
