NC State Stayed Hot On The Recruiting Trail Landing “Key” Talent

BREAKING: NC State lands talented Fla. CB Caden Gordon

NC State continued its successful streak in recruiting by securing a commitment from Caden Gordon, a cornerback from Santaluces High School in Lake Worth, Florida.

Standing at 6 feet 1 inch and weighing 170 pounds, Gordon’s decision to join the Wolfpack came shortly after his official visit to the campus. His first experience in Raleigh left a lasting impression on him, exceeding his expectations with the beauty of North Carolina and the warmth of the NC State community.

During his visit, Gordon bonded with the coaches and players over shared meals and activities, highlighting a memorable bowling outing that showcased the team’s camaraderie and relaxed atmosphere.

Brian Mitchell, the seasoned cornerbacks coach at NC State, played a pivotal role in Gordon’s recruitment journey, emphasizing the importance of family and personal development. Mitchell’s commitment to nurturing relationships and guiding players towards success resonated with Gordon, influencing his choice to commit to the Pack.

Gordon also had the opportunity to engage with head coach Dave Doeren during his visit, where they discussed the values and expectations set by the NC State football program. Impressed by Doeren’s emphasis on hard work, selflessness, and toughness, Gordon appreciated the straightforward and genuine approach of both Coach Mitchell and Coach Doeren.

Opting for NC State over several other competitive offers from schools like Georgia Tech, Illinois, FSU, Louisville, and West Virginia, Gordon becomes the seventh commitment in the Wolfpack’s 2025 recruiting class, further solidifying the team’s Florida presence in this recruiting cycle with his addition as the fourth recruit from the state.
