After a successful first season in Conference USA, Liberty had 18 players selected for the 2024 Athlon Sports Conference USA Preseason All-Conference Team.
Liberty and Western Kentucky both had the most players named to the preseason all-conference team by the magazine.

In their debut season in Conference USA, Liberty achieved a perfect 8-0 record in the league and an overall 13-0 record, leading them to the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl against Oregon.
