For Calvin Clements, growing up in Lawrence, playing for Kansas football was a long-held dream. During his initial six months with the KU program, he experienced parts of that dream by enrolling early and getting started immediately. Although he was on the two-deep roster in his freshman season, he had to wait for his chance. Clements finally made his debut against Cincinnati in KU’s last regular-season game, marking a pivotal moment he had been striving for.
