Notre Dame Football Recruiting: Mixed Feelings as Arkansas RB Sensation Decommits From The Irish

Another one leaves the 2025 class

On Thursday, 3-star running back Daniel Anderson declared that he is no longer committed to the 2025 Notre Dame Football recruiting class.

Anderson was among the earliest commitments to Notre Dame’s recruiting efforts, contributing to an influx of talent from southern states that typically don’t end up with the Irish.

Now, just as they arrived, they are departing.

Reports from various Notre Dame sources suggest that Anderson’s decision was mutual between him and the program. To be frank, this makes sense. He’s a talented player and seems like a great person, but there are likely better opportunities for both Notre Dame and Anderson elsewhere. This approach allows for effective roster management without any negative consequences.

With Anderson’s departure, Notre Dame’s recruiting class has dropped to 21 players. As we near the early signing period in December, it’s likely that we’ll see several new prospects that Notre Dame will pursue, regardless of their current commitments.
