Tiffany Stevens Signs Pro Contract to Play for Coastal Bend Tidal Wave

AKRON, Ohio – Tiffany Stevens, a former standout softball player at the University of Akron, has officially inked a deal with the Coastal Bend Tidal Wave of Women’s Professional Fastpitch.

During the 2024 season, Stevens served as a key presence in the outfield for all 52 games played by the Zips. She accumulated 31 hits in 142 at-bats, resulting in a .218 batting average.

Her offensive contributions included seven extra-base hits comprising five doubles and two home runs, leading to 14 runs batted in. Stevens maintained a .309 on-base percentage, drawing 16 walks and accumulating 42 total bases.

She also crossed the plate 12 times and displayed her speed by successfully stealing all 6 bases she attempted.

Having been recognized as an Academic All-MAC recipient on four occasions, Stevens demonstrated her dedication both on and off the field. Throughout her five-year tenure with Akron, she participated in 219 games with 213 starts. Across her collegiate career, she held a .237 batting average and achieved her highest single-season average of .315 during the abbreviated 2020 season.

Across 577 at-bats, she amassed 137 hits, including 28 doubles, six home runs, and three triples, contributing to 76 RBI. In terms of fielding, Stevens maintained an impressive .970 fielding percentage, securing 376 put-outs while committing only 12 errors in 434 opportunities.
