Chris Patrick Promoted to Washington Capitals General Manager
After serving ten years as the Washington Capitals’ General Manager, MacLellan transitioned to the role of President of Hockey Operations, while the organization opted to promote from within, appointing Patrick to the GM position. Patrick, who has been with the Capitals for 16 seasons and served as associate GM in the 2023-24 season, will now act as the primary liaison for discussions with other GMs across the league and will attend GM meetings, reporting directly to MacLellan.
