Reports: Air Force DT Sensation Named To East-West Shrine Bowl Watch List

Every year, the East-West Shrine Bowl offers college football players the chance to practice and play in an all-star game in front of NFL scouts and coaches. Before the season, the Shrine Bowl publishes a list of 1,000 draft-eligible players who are strong candidates for the game. This week, the 2024 list was released, featuring senior defensive tackle Payton ZDroik from the Air Force Academy.

ZDroik, a native of Brentwood, California, has played in 23 games over the past two seasons for the Falcons. He has recorded 62 tackles, including 16.5 for a loss, ten sacks, and one fumble recovery.

Air Force is set to kick off the 2024 season on August 31, hosting FCS opponent Merrimack. They aim to build on their 2023 success, where they finished with a 9-4 record and a victory in the Armed Forces Bowl, marking their third consecutive bowl win.

The East-West Shrine Bowl is scheduled to be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, on January 30, 2025.
