REPORTS: Duke Basketball Priority Target Hits Game-Winner at NBA Star’s Camp
Recent Duke basketball visitor Acaden Lewis continues to demand a higher ranking via his stellar efforts in summer showcases.
In mid-May, about a month before getting an offer from Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer, Sidwell Friends School (D.C.) guard Acaden Lewis was ranked No. 93 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite. By the time the 6-foot-2, 170-pound four-star left-handed player found himself on the Blue Devils’ radar, he had risen more than 30 spots in the rankings.
A few weeks after his unofficial visit to Duke, Lewis is now ranked No. 46 among the nation’s high school seniors. With his name consistently mentioned among the top performers in nearly every game or event—especially recently—it seems likely he will receive another significant ranking boost.
The recent Damian Lillard’s Formula Zero Elite Camp in Phoenix, Ariz., which featured numerous college coaches and top prep talent, is just one example of this.
Jordan Richard from Swish Cultures pointed out that the highly skilled scorer “is on the NBA radar” due to his impressive performance in Phoenix, and he shared highlights of Lewis’ skills at the camp, including his game-winning shot in the championship match on Saturday.

Since early July, Acaden Lewis has narrowed his recruitment to eight finalists, which include Duke, UNC, Kentucky, UConn, Syracuse, Auburn, Tennessee, and Michigan.
Scheyer and his team have not yet landed their first top target for the 2025 recruiting class.
