BIG RAPIDS – This Saturday (Sept. 7), the Ferris State University football team will welcome the Lake Erie Storm for their 2024 home opener at Top Taggart Field. The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. (ET).
The FSU-Lake Erie football game will be broadcast live in the area by the Bulldog Sports Network and Sunny 97.3 FM, featuring Rob Bentley as the play-by-play announcer and Sandy Gholston providing color commentary. The Bulldog Tailgate Show kicks off at 4 p.m. (ET), followed by the Johnson Automotive Pregame Show at 5 p.m. from inside the stadium. The game will also be shown on FloSports and FloFootball, with video coverage by Ferris State Television.
Tickets for Saturday’s game can be purchased online at FerrisStateBulldogs.com/Tickets, and fans are encouraged to buy digital tickets in advance to skip the lines on game day. The Wheeler Pavilion Gameday Ticket Office will open at 4:30 p.m. (ET) on Saturday. Please note that tickets bought at the box office will incur an extra $ 5 fee. Tickets for Saturday’s football game are priced at 20foradults, 15 for seniors (ages 65+), and $ 10 for students aged 5-17 when bought in advance online. Ferris students can enter for free by presenting their student ID.
Tailgating will be allowed starting at 3 p.m. (ET), with stadium gates opening 90 minutes before kickoff at 4:30 p.m. (ET). All tailgating activities must conclude 15 minutes before the game starts.
Parking in the lots near Top Taggart Field costs 10percarand 30 for oversized vehicles (like buses and RVs) when purchased online in advance. For convenience, credit cards will be accepted at both the ticket window and concession stands.
Fans attending the home opener or any home football games this season should take note of the following changes:
- Stadium Drive on the west side of Top Taggart Field will operate as a one-way street, flowing from south to north. This one-way route begins at South Street (near the Gridiron Club entrance) and continues to the north end of the field.
- Lot 5E (the main parking lot) on the west side of the stadium will now be designated for Pre-Paid Parking only. Gridiron Club members can still use Lots 5F and 5G as before, but the main lot near the stadium entrance requires pre-paid tickets, which must be purchased in advance at FerrisStateBulldogs.com/Tickets. Those with pre-paid parking should enter from South Street.
- Purchasing pre-paid parking does not guarantee a spot in Lot 5E; spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If Lot 5E is full, individuals with pre-paid parking tickets will be directed to an alternative paid lot.
- The cost for pre-paid parking for a single game is 10perspace.Forthosearrivingwithoutpre−paidparking,theday−ofpricewillbe 15 per space, and parking in Lot 5E will not be permitted. Additionally, RVs are not allowed in Lot 5E.
- Fans are encouraged to buy game tickets in advance at FerrisStateBulldogs.com/Tickets. Tickets purchased early cost 20foradultsand 15 for senior citizens (65+) and FSU Faculty/Staff, plus any applicable online fees. Students aged 3-17 can buy tickets for $ 10, while current Ferris State students with ID can enter for free at the gate.
- Those who buy tickets at the ticket window will incur an extra $ 5 per ticket. To avoid this additional fee, tickets can be purchased online at FerrisStateBulldogs.com/Tickets or through the Hometown Ticketing Fan App, available on both the App Store and Google Play. All tickets will be scanned electronically.
- Additionally, Stadium Drive on the east side (visitor side) of Top Taggart Field will be closed in front of the Student Rec Center, from South Street to the entrance of Lot 4E, which will only be accessible to staff and media coming from the north end of Stadium Drive.
