Reports: Florida State QB Sensation makes big announcement following his injury

Jordan Travis made his first full public comments on Monday following a serious injury he sustained on Saturday night.

Travis suffered a severe lower left leg injury during Florida State’s 58-13 victory over North Alabama. The senior quarterback was carted off the field and taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment.

In a social media statement on Monday, Travis announced that his Florida State career has come to an end.

“I cannot thank everyone enough for the countless thoughts, prayers, and messages I’ve received. I am truly overwhelmed by the support from my teammates, coaches, the Florida State community, and people around the world. While the injury I endured on November 18, 2023 marks the conclusion of my playing career as a Seminole, the wonderful memories I’ve made at FSU will always remain,” Travis wrote.

“Being the quarterback at Florida State University has been a dream come true. I am humbled, honored, and forever grateful. The journey we started as a team isn’t over, as our goals are still ahead of us. I’m excited to stand alongside my brothers every day as we continue our efforts. We’re all we’ve got, and we’re all we need. The job isn’t finished. Go Noles!”

Travis transferred to Florida State after two seasons at Louisville from 2018 to 2019. This was his fourth season at FSU and his third as the starting quarterback.

After redshirting at Louisville and gaining an additional year of eligibility due to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, Travis has spent six seasons in college.

He will leave Florida State as the quarterback credited with helping revitalize the Seminoles’ program. Last season, the team finished 10-3, marking their first double-digit win season since 2016. They are currently 11-0 this season and set to face Florida in a rivalry matchup this Saturday.
