Reports: FVSU Alumni, Former JMC Aide-De-Camp Moves Up a Rank “Two Silver Bars”

Jeffrey Campbell Jr. has passed on the single silver bars he previously wore on each shoulder of his dress uniform to his successor. He now wears two interconnected silver bars, resembling the letter H, as a new insignia.

Having served as the aide-de-camp for Brig. Gen. Ronnie Anderson Jr., the commander of the Joint Munitions Command, for 14 months, Campbell has been promoted from First Lieutenant to Captain.

“Growing up in Adel, Georgia, I never thought about military service as a career. I’m extremely thankful for the Army’s opportunities that have helped me grow in leadership and life,” Campbell stated. “If someone had told me as a 17-year-old private in the Army Reserve that I would become an active-duty Captain, I would have thought they were out of their mind.”

He added, “Being promoted by a general officer in front of my dad, sister, wife, and daughter was a memorable moment for my family and me.”

Anderson commended Campbell for his dedication. “Jeff takes his duties as a Soldier very seriously,” Anderson noted. “As a Lieutenant, he excelled at influencing beyond the chain of command, which is crucial for a commissioned officer. Jeff has consistently met every challenge in the Army.”

Anderson emphasized that Campbell pursued the aide position to become a better leader, not for personal exposure. “He wanted to ensure he was equipped to handle the toughest missions throughout his career, and he has repeatedly proven his capabilities. Jeff accomplishes tasks and remains undeterred by challenges. He is committed to making a difference and is an outstanding leader.”

Campbell enlisted in the Army in 2015 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant through the Army ROTC program at Fort Valley State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Logistics. He is currently attending the Captain Career Course at Fort Gregg-Adams in Virginia.
