Reports: Georgia Tech Makes Huge Announcement In Regards To Elite Wide Receiver

Georgia Tech wide receiver no longer with the program

Georgia Tech wide receiver Christian Leary is no longer part of the program, as announced by head coach Brent Key on Saturday following the Yellow Jackets’ 31-19 loss to No. 19 Louisville. Key stated that Leary left for “personal reasons.” A former Alabama player, Leary joined Tech for the 2023 season, during which he recorded 25 catches for 309 yards and two touchdowns, along with 21 kickoff returns totaling 463 yards.

However, this season, he had only three receptions for 27 yards and two returns for 35 yards, having played 40 snaps on offense and 14 on special teams. Leary, a four-star recruit from Edgewater High School in Orlando, Florida, had three catches for 10 yards and a touchdown in 18 games over two seasons at Alabama before transferring to Tech.
