Second-year head men’s basketball coach Paul Mills has revealed the 2024-25 non-conference schedule for the program.
This 13-game lineup includes nine home contests, two away games, participation in the Hall of Fame Classic against Saint Louis in Kansas City, and two games at the ESPN Events Invitational in Kissimmee, Florida.
Season tickets are now available by calling 316-978-FANS (3267) or visiting the Shocker Ticket Office, which is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The season will begin with an exhibition game against Emporia State at Charles Koch Arena on October 27. The official season opener will take place on November 4 at WKU, marking the first time since 2003 that the Shockers start the season away from the Roundhouse. This also represents the first true road game to kick off a season since 1992, when Wichita State faced Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
Following that, Wichita State will host three consecutive opponents at Charles Koch Arena: Montana State on November 9, Northern Iowa on November 14, and Monmouth on November 18.
At the end of the month, Wichita State will compete in the Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City against Saint Louis on November 22. They will then travel to Disney World for the ESPN Events Invitational over Thanksgiving and Black Friday, facing Minnesota and either Florida or Wake Forest.
In December, the Shockers will host Alcorn State (December 4), East Tennessee State (December 7), Kansas City (December 17), in-state rival Kansas State (December 21), and Friends (December 29), interspersed with a road game against DePaul on December 14.
Game times and TV broadcasts will be announced in September when the American Athletic Conference releases its 18-game league schedule.
