PHIL PARKINSON ON CHRIS CONN-CLARKE’S MOVE

It’s the news that no fan of Alty wanted to hear, but deep down, they all knew it was inevitable. Unfortunately, Chris Conn-Clarke has decided to move on from the team. As someone involved in player recruitment and development, I take pride in seeing players like Chris progress to bigger and better opportunities. It’s the ultimate goal of our job, and I hope that all the players who come through our football club leave not only as better players but also as better individuals.

I strongly believe that good character translates into good performance on the field. Chris just needed a manager who believed in him and was willing to build a team around his strengths. Once he found the right support and the team structure was in place, his talent shone through for everyone to see.In addition to his football achievements, Chris has also experienced personal milestones.

He and his partner Daisy welcomed their second child, Delilah-Rose. Chris has been recognized with numerous awards in non-league football, but the most prestigious one for me was the National League Player of the Season.

This recognition led to his move to a team known for developing young non-league players and helping them progress further.As a result of Chris’s departure, the club will receive a decent transfer fee and gain recognition as a place that fosters development, helps individuals get back on track, and facilitates progress. It’s a win-win situation for everyone involved, just as it should be.We wish Chris Conn-Clarke all the best in his future endeavors!
