Sad News: Top-Star, Former Alabama Football Walk-on, Dies After Getting Hit By Car

Terrance Howard, a former walk-on cornerback for Alabama football, has passed away a few days after being hit by a vehicle in North Carolina, according to reports.

Howard, who was set to join Nick Saban’s final team at Alabama for the 2023 college football season after hailing from Missouri City, Texas, entered the transfer portal in April. He later committed to North Carolina Central University in Durham in May.

As reported by Houston’s KPRC-TV, citing his mother and stepfather, Howard was involved in a minor accident on Interstate 85 near Salisbury, North Carolina, on Monday. After checking to ensure the occupants of the other vehicle were okay, he was struck by another passing car while outside his own vehicle.

He passed away on Thursday.

KPRC-TV also mentioned that Howard’s family has received support from both NCCU and Alabama, with Nick Saban reaching out to them as well.
