SDSU Football Shines: Massive News As 14 Aztecs Make NFL Rosters!

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State football program proudly features 14 alumni currently in the NFL, as recently confirmed in finalized rosters.

Among these, there are nine players on active rosters and one on injured reserve, alongside four on practice squads across the league.

Notably, Matt Araiza (2019-21) and Cameron Thomas (2019-21) have come together on the Kansas City Chiefs’ 53-man roster, the reigning champions. Aaron Brewer (2008-11) and Darren Hall (2018-20) are teammates on the Arizona Cardinals roster. Other notable placements include Segun Olubi (2020-21) with the Indianapolis Colts, Zachary Thomas (2017-21) with the New England Patriots, Daniel Bellinger (2018-21) with the New York Giants, Damontae Kazee (2013-16) with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Daniel Brunskill (2013-16) with the Tennessee Titans.

Patrick McMorris (2020-22) will begin the season on the injured list with the Miami Dolphins.

In addition, four former Aztecs are featured on practice squads: Keith Ismael (2017-19) with Arizona, Jesse Matthews (2019-22) with Atlanta, Tyrell Shavers (2021-22) with Buffalo, and Alex Barrett (2013-16) with San Francisco.
