NHL 25 believes San Jose came out on top in the trade.

In our initial trade simulation in NHL 25 Franchise Mode, we are trying to trade Timothy Liljegren to the San Jose Sharks for two draft picks and Matt Benning.

Liljegren holds the highest value in the trade with an overall rating of 84, while Benning has a rating of 79.

The San Jose Sharks eagerly agreed to the deal when we suggested it as Toronto, whereas the Leafs showed no interest in doing the deal when we proposed it as San Jose.

We tried to make the trade using the third round picks from both Colorado and Edmonton, but the Leafs did not want either of them.

Even though NHL 25 believes the Sharks may have a higher salary, they still believe that the team benefited more from the deal, placing a greater value on Liljegren compared to the third round pick and Benning.
