Southern Athletics -The Southern University football, volleyball and soccer teams all face non-conference opponents

BATON ROUGE, La. – This week in Southern Athletics, the Southern University football, volleyball, and soccer teams are set to compete against non-conference opponents at home.

The SU football team (0-1) will kick off its home season against Savannah State during the 7th annual Pete Richardson Classic, with the game starting at 6:00 p.m. and airing on HBCUGO Sports.

The Southern soccer team (0-6) will play two home matches at A.W. Mumford Stadium: one against Louisiana Christian on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and another against Troy on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

The Southern volleyball team (0-3) will host McNeese State on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Seymour Gym before embarking on a three-match road trip. The Jaguars will compete at the Florida A&M Invitational, starting with a match against Florida A&M on Friday at 11:00 a.m. (CT), followed by a game against Jacksonville at 3:30 p.m. (CT) the same day, and concluding the tournament against New Orleans on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. (CT).
