Things to watch: Montreal Victoire Fans Receives More Tantalizing News to Cheer About

The Montreal Victoire will return to the Bell Centre for a March 1 game against the Boston Fleet.

Updates about the Montreal Victoire’s schedule continue to roll in. Following the recent announcement that they will host a game at the Videotron Center in January, The Hockey News has confirmed that the team will return to the Bell Center on March 1st.

The Boston Fleet will visit as Montreal Victoire hosts their second game at the Bell Center, just over ten months after their inaugural match there.

On April 20, 2024, a sold-out crowd of 21,105 attended the Montreal-Toronto game, setting the record for the largest attendance ever at a women’s hockey game. Toronto won that match in overtime with a score of 3-2.

On March 1, 2025, Montreal will have the opportunity to seek revenge for that loss and attempt to match their attendance record against Hilary Knight, Aerin Frankel, and the team that eliminated them in the first round of last spring’s playoffs.

On that day, the Montreal Canadiens will be playing in Buffalo, while the Laval Rocket is set to host the Belleville Sens at Bell Place, with a game time of 7 p.m. This means we can expect the game at the Bell Center to take place in the afternoon.

Playing in the Largest Venues Available

We now have clarity on where Montreal will play all their games this season: 13 at Bell Place in Laval, one at the Videotron Center in Quebec City, and one at the Bell Center in Montreal. Interestingly, these three venues are the largest arenas in Quebec, highlighting the growing popularity of the PWHL.

Last season, the game at the Bell Center was announced later in the year and involved rescheduling a previously planned game at Verdun Auditorium, along with other adjustments to the team’s schedule.

This year, however, the game is being arranged ahead of time and included in the team’s calendar, although the Victoire has yet to make an official announcement.
