Top Elite Keen on not Travelling For Sharks’ game vs. Stars after injury

The Sharks’ Friday night game against the Winnipeg Jets marks the earliest potential return for No. 1 overall draft pick Macklin Celebrini, who was placed on injured reserve Saturday due to a lower body injury.

San Jose coach Ryan Warsofsky has not dismissed the possibility of Celebrini returning for that game.

“I’m not ruling anything out,” Warsofsky said after Monday’s practice. “It’s a week-to-week situation, and he’s putting in a lot of effort to come back.”

As always, take that with a grain of salt.

Warsofsky noted that Celebrini will not travel with the team to Dallas, where the Sharks will take on the Stars on Tuesday night.

If Celebrini is cleared to play, he would need to travel separately to join the team for either the games in Chicago or Winnipeg, the last two stops on the Sharks’ three-game road trip.
