North Carolina secured Georgia Tech transfer Ty Claude on August 14. The graduate senior joined Hubert Davis and his coaching staff late in the process, having previously played at Morehead State, Western Carolina, and Georgia Tech last season.
The Goldsboro, N.C. native participated as a bench player in the Blue-White scrimmage two weeks ago but was not in uniform for the Tar Heels’ exhibition game against Memphis. It now appears that the 6-foot-7 forward may face additional time on the sidelines.
