University of Dayton men’s basketball coach Names “Top Prospect” MBB Director of Basketball Operations

DAYTON – Anthony Grant, the men’s basketball coach at the University of Dayton, has announced the appointment of Patrick Edwards as the Flyer program’s new Director of Basketball Operations.

“We’re excited to welcome Pat Edwards as our new Director of Basketball Operations,” Grant stated. “Pat comes to us with two years of experience in a similar position at Jacksonville State University and previously spent four years as a student manager here at UD. He brings a strong work ethic, high energy, and a good understanding of our culture and standards. We’re thrilled to have Pat back in the Flyer community.”

Edwards was a four-year student manager for the Flyers from 2018 to 2022 and served as the head manager in his senior year. Shortly before graduating from UD, he took on the role of Director of Basketball Operations for the Intersport 3x3U Championship held during the Final Four in New Orleans.

For the past two years, Edwards has been at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. He served as a men’s basketball graduate assistant in 2022-23 and became the Coordinator of Basketball Operations for the Gamecocks in 2023-24.

A native of Pittsburgh, Edwards graduated from UD in 2022 with a degree in Accounting and a minor in Entrepreneurship. He completed his MBA at Jacksonville State in May.
