Upcoming UNC Basketball Visitor Plans To Wrap Up His Recruitment, Announcement Date Locked

Isaiah Denis, a senior at Davidson Day School (N.C.) and a top recruitment target for UNC basketball, has set his decision date for November 2, according to 247Sports’ Travis Branham. Denis is ranked No. 62 overall and is the No. 2 player among North Carolina high school prospects on the 247Sports 2025 Composite. His announcement comes just under two weeks before the early signing period opens for the 2025 class.

Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels entered the competition for Isaiah Denis by extending an offer in late July. Despite joining the race relatively late, they secured a spot in the 6-foot-5, 175-pound combo guard’s top 10 list in early August. The other nine finalists include Miami, Tennessee, Michigan, Pitt, Cincinnati, Kansas, Mississippi State, Wake Forest, and Ohio State.

Denis is set to visit Chapel Hill this weekend for an official meeting with the Tar Heels. He has already visited Pitt, Ohio State, and Miami and plans to tour Wake Forest, Tennessee, and Kansas for official visits in October.

“Currently, I feel optimistic about the Tar Heels’ chances with Isaiah Denis,” remarked Travis Branham, a leading national recruiting expert. “Being a North Carolina native plays a significant role… I’ve heard that the recent offer could significantly influence his recruitment…”

The UNC basketball recruitment team seems close to securing a commitment for 2025, but so far, they have yet to achieve their first win in this recruiting cycle.
