USC Football Recruiting: Trojans Add Most Sort After Top Prospect, Top-100 LB From Florida, To 2025 Class

USC enhanced their season record to 2-0 with a shutout victory on Saturday night and secured a commitment from a highly-ranked defensive player on Sunday morning.

Ty Jackson, a linebacker from Seminole Ridge High School in Loxahatchee, Fla., chose the Trojans over top contenders like Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Jackson, who is ranked No. 95 in the Class of 2025 according to the 247Sports Composite, visited USC during their 48-0 win against Utah State on Saturday.

Jackson is the third highly-rated linebacker to join USC’s 2025 recruiting class, alongside Matai Tagoa’i and Jadon Perlotte, both of whom are also top-200 national prospects.

USC’s new defensive staff has made a strong impression on the field, with the shutout marking the program’s first since 2011. The effectiveness of these improvements will soon be evident in recruiting results.
