Where UNC Basketball Stands In Loaded 6-foot-11, 215-pound Five-star Sweepstakes

The five-star prospect, an admitted UNC basketball fan, will be in Chapel Hill before wrapping up his recruitment.

According to 247Sports’ Travis Branham, prolific forward Niko Bundalo from Prolific Prep in California hosted UNC basketball head coach Hubert Davis and two of his assistant coaches at his school on Tuesday.

Bundalo, ranked No. 23 in the 247Sports 2025 Composite, plans to select a favorite from his top nine schools before his senior season kicks off in early November, just in time for the early signing period.

The Tar Heels are among those finalists, along with Michigan State, UConn, Texas, Pitt, Ohio State, Xavier, Kentucky, and newly added Kansas. Coach Davis and his staff are also set to be one of the few programs he plans to visit before making his decision.

Standing 6-foot-11 and weighing 215 pounds, this five-star prospect has been a lifelong Tar Heel fan, influenced by his mother’s admiration for Michael Jordan from Chicago. He completed official visits to UConn and Michigan State over the past two weekends and is scheduled to visit Ohio State on September 21-22 before touring UNC in Chapel Hill during the first weekend of October.

Bundalo has also indicated that he’s considering visits to Kansas and Kentucky, likely in October. For now, his planned official visits place his UNC basketball trip last on the list.

“I believe UNC has always been an excellent program for players at the four position, based on my research,” Niko Bundalo shared with Branham earlier this summer. “They have had very versatile fours, and in recent years, some top-tier guards. That’s really appealed to me.

“The chance to play alongside a strong guard as a four-man definitely excites me.”
