Breaking: Huge Boost As NC State Football Lands Another 2026 Recruiting Prize Ahead Other Programs
The NC State football coaches picked up two pledges in the past three days.
Trinity Episcopal School (Va.) junior Brady Sakowitz, a 6-foot-7, 285-pound three-star recruit ranked No. 38 among 2026 offensive tackles by On3, announced his commitment to the NC State football program on Monday.
He announced his decision with the following post on social media:
I really appreciate everyone who has helped through the recruiting process, especially my parents and coaches!
I would like to officially announce I have committed to NC State University!!

Sakowitz didn’t name any finalists before his unannounced decision day, but he had around a dozen offers during his recruitment. Notably, he had interest from several ACC schools, including Duke, Miami, Pitt, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, and Virginia.
NC State welcomed Brady Sakowitz for visits on consecutive weekends. Even though the Wolfpack suffered losses to Wake Forest and Syracuse during his stays, he clearly felt comfortable with the coaching staff.
The Wolfpack’s 2026 recruiting class now has two verbal commitments, as Reagan High School (N.C.) three-star quarterback made his commitment to Dave Doeren and his team earlier in August.
Interestingly, both the 2026 and 2025 NC State football recruiting classes are ranked No. 50 nationally. The Wolfpack climbed a few spots in the 2025 rankings over the weekend due to the commitment of Antioch High School (Tenn.) standout three-star offensive lineman Takhyian Whitset.
